HAWAII - BIG ISLAND

December, 2005

This was my fourth trip to Hawaii and my first to the Big Island.  It completed my goal of visiting the four major islands on four separate trips.  Each island has something different to offer and I enjoyed spending at least a week on each of them over a period of five years. 

I visited Oahu for Christmas in 2000, Kauai for Christmas in 2001, Maui in March on an incredible deal and the Big Island just prior to Christmas 2005.  This was just the place I wanted to be during the holiday season... away from the shopping malls and crowds!
