Louvre Museum Building

This is the Pyramid main entrance to the Louvre and my first stop in Paris.  I stayed until closing.  This was an amazing and huge place.  I walked over six miles while inside the building.

An arc marks the entrance to the Lourve plaza.  (Click on the photo for a closer look.)

The Louvre building was once a King's Palace and was converted into a museum in 1791.  Visitors have been viewing art at this facility for over 200 years!  The building itself has eight centuries of historic events.

I thought this was an interesting shot of the courtyard as seen through the cafe window.   This is were I had lunch.

This is a view of the courtyard through an exhibit window.

This is a look out into Paris from an exhibit window.

This is the main lobby that sits under the pyramid entrance.

I exited through the pyramid.  This was an amazing experience.
