Opera Building

Constructed in 1861 and completed in 1875, the Opera building is an architectural masterpiece.   I was not able to see the interior first hand, but I did see some photos.   I will definitely find a way inside next time.  It's very rich an ornate.  However, I didn't find the Phantom anywhere.

Here's the bronze statue that sits on top of the building.  (Click on the photo to take a closer look.)

There were also a pair of gold statues on each side of the building.

The streets around the Opera were lined with these exquisite lamps.
