Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Puerto Vallarta was the first port of call on my third cruise with Carnival.   The trip also included a stop in Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.  Be sure to check out those pages for a complete experience of my Mexican Riviera cruise.

We sailed on a relatively new and large ship, the Carnival Pride.  I believe the first voyage for this ship was in 2001.  The trip provided everything I was looking for -- relaxation, fun adventures, good food and great friends to share the experience with. 

Like my previous trips to Hawaii during December, this was a great time to escape the traditional holiday madness.  For the first two days I just relaxed and enjoyed the ride.   I explored the ship, laid out on the deck, read books and listed to some calming tunes on my iPod.  On the third day, we reached our first port.  Enjoy the photos!
